Circadian lighting replicates the color temperature and intensity of the sun as it cycles throughout the day. Syncing your lighting to the sun has shown in certain studies to help with your quality of sleep and reducing depression.
6am-9am
During the morning hours the sun’s intensity is lower and the color temperature is usually between 2700K to 3500K. The early hours of the day the body releases Cortisol and your blood pressure increases.
10am-2pm
The intensity of sunlight during the middle of the day will rise and the color temperature will reach levels up to 10,000K. This is when you will have the best coordination, focus and the fastest reaction time.
3pm-6pm
Evening hour bring lower light intensity and color temperatures return to the same levels we have during the morning hours. This is when Melatonin secretion starts.
